Security In Five Weekly Roundup – 9/29/17
This week’s episodes was a short series I called Learning From Equifax. As a security professional you cannot have the largest breach occur and not talk about it extensively. I have no details on the breach itself outside of the public statements so everything is purely hypothetical. Regardless, any conversation that improves security and the awareness around us is a positive conversation.
The topics I covered were personal steps to take to protect yourself, application security, vulnerability management and thinking about the data more than the tech around it. Due to the deep nature of the subjects some of this week’s episodes creeped up to be a little longer than five minutes, I could fill an hour with each subject so I still did pretty good keeping it short and to the point.
